The Earth is completely desolate since global warming, ozone holes and other disasters have been caused by mankind. The human race has finally succeeded in completely wiping itself out. Through radio waves sent into space by humans hoping to communicate with other life forms, aliens from another galaxy have been able to navigate all the way to the planet Earth.

The aliens descend on Earth, but find that the Garden of Eden they were hoping for doesn’t have anything more interesting than devices for measuring time. They shake the tiny devices and find out that they still tick away steadily. The aliens are fascinated by them, bring them back to their spacecraft and leave what was once our planet. Through a collective fateful carelessness we together destroyed the Earth’s conditions for a good life.
